I'm going to illustrate a little side-stretch variation, and how you really CAN do yoga anywhere, anytime! Right there, on a rollerskating rink in the middle of NYC seemed the perfect place to break this one down ;) In this variation of seated side stretch we can really get nice and deep into your deep transverse abdominus muscles, internal and external obliques, lats, as well as the deep quadratus lumborum, abductors and psoas muscles, and gently stretching your spine. It also allows a subtle toning of internal organs and muscles.It strengthens your deltoids, levator scapulae and trapezius muscles. Can help to calm and relax body and mind.
